Miss. Someone has felt true desperation, the desire to feel heavier than her seemingly weightless existence. Only in the act of creation, specifically creation through observation, can she sink her teeth into the skin of the universe. Photography is an expression of her love for life and the sentiment of being "one of us." Looking through a lens is her spiritual exercise, one of indulging in the present and loving the strange world in which she finds herself. Photos are manicured claws, gripping onto the slipping moments. Photography, to Miss. Someone is not an expression of “I exist,” but of “life exists outside myself.” Through the art of observation, Miss. Someone has found that her status of being just someone allows her to be one with the world.
